- K has decided that she doesn't need to sleep through the night anymore! Yeah, it's not making for a very productive mommy the next day at work. We hope it's just the 4 month (adjusted age) wakeful period and she will be over it soon.
- Gavin had a tooth pop through today. He had been just a little crabby and whiny the last couple days but nothing terrible.
- They have their 6 month check-up on April 15th.
A few things on me...
- The chemo I was doing wasn't working so I have stopped it and plan to start another clinical trial on the 15th. This new trial is a 24 hour IV of meds. The doc told me today that when I have the meds home with me she doesn't want me to hold the babies at all because of the unknown affects if they were to pull it out and get the meds on them.
- I am having surgery to remove a mass in my stomach on Tuesday. Surgery will be outpatient and I should only need a couple days of recovery. We are pretty positive that it's more cancer but it's right under the skin so the removal should be easy.
- I have asked my oncologist to give me an appetite stimulant because I am not eating, not hungry and have lost way too much weight. I am 25 lbs. lighter than when I got pregnant! Who would ever think I would ask for an appetite stimulant!?!
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers! I will let you know how Tuesday goes.

I am so sorry your chemo is not working, I will be saying lots of prayers that the clinical trial will be just what is needed to kick this! You are so brave & strong, I am in awe of how you are able to roll with all of these punches & keep such a positive outlook- your little ones are so lucky to have such a beautiful example of how to persevere & overcome such adversity. Sending lots & LOTS of prayers for improved health, kicking these tumors a$s & finishing this medicine asap so you can get back to cuddling your cuties!
**I'm so sorry you are having trouble eating, forcing yourself to eat is the worst ; ( Are you able to stomach things like boost or ensure? Even kool aid made with extra sugar (I know, eww) is a way they use for gastric bypass pt.s to get enough calories post surgery...
I'm sorry to hear the chemo is not working. You are such a strong and amazing woman! I will be praying that the surgery goes well and that the new drugs start to take effect right away.
Great updates on the babies! I can't believe you are getting ready for their 6 month appointment! Wow!
So sorry to hear the chemo isn't working and about the new mass found. Praying for your strength and for this evilness to be gone from your body for good!! ((Hugs))
I am sending prayers your way right now. Your story humbles me and reminds me how beautiful life is.
I'm glad the babes are doing so well!
I hope everything goes well next week and I will see you soon. Some pizza will help get some weight on those bones! :)
You are in my prayers. Always. Fran
We are all cheering for you, praying for you, and sending you healing vibes.
Hope the kids enjoy their first 1/2 birthday ;-)
It sounds like we've got a good Mexican meal (and margarita!) in store for us once you're feeling well after the surgery. I'm open--I'll give you a call soon.
I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers! I hope the clinical trial does amazing things and that your surgery is as painfree as possible. The babies are getting SO big!! -Nicolle
