Last night was a little rough but we are trying to get things under control. The epidural is still working but not covering the large span of my back as it was before. Right now we are playing with med doses etc. I am still having some trouble breathing but that's to be expected and it's getting better. The biggest trouble is taking a deep breath.
I am not sure if people are aware of how much of my lung they took, Originally the surgeon said he was going to have to take my entire left lung due to the size but instead took about 80% of it. The tumor was one giant one THE SIZE OF A CANTALOUPE! I cannot get over how big that is.

Wow! It is hard to fathom something so BIG inside your chest. Geepers, take away three babies and your tumour and you have to be an itty bitty scrap of a thing! ;)
I am truly wishing you a safe and speedy recovery!! I really hope that the babies get to come see you:)
I am so glad to hear that you are doing well. I am sorry you are in pain. I have a close family friend who lost an entire lung to a tumor and he said that it takes getting used to the difference in how much air you can take in and really takes an adjustment.... I guess what I am trying to say is hang in there it will get better. You are so strong and your kids will always know that you are an incredibly strong fighter!
(((hugs)))
Wow, I can't believe how big the tumor was. That is insane. I'm glad that they were able to get it all. I hope your recovery is swift. Thinking about you and sending you lots of prayers!

Mj-that tumor was big enough to be a 4th baby! Holy freaking cow! I am so so glad they were able to remove it, and that you are recovering. Sending you lots of well wishes for a good pain control program, deep breaths and getting home to your little nuggets asap! So glad you are ok!
Thanks for posting an update. And wow, I will never look at a muskmelon the same way twice I tell ya!
Hope the road to recovery isn't too bumpy.
You're such a trouper!!
Your strength is amazing. Question though, is the tumor on the right on your lung as well? If so, are you a candidate for a transplant?
One small step at a time. Unbelievable what can grow inside of us isn't it? Thinking of you for continued rest & recovery. .. to you and all your team of helpers.
