Baby Food

Since the babies started eating solids we have been making all their food with organic vegetables. This past weekend we had a baby food making marathon! We made peas & carrots, peas, green beans, pears, apples, and peaches. The vegetables were cooked and then pureed. The fruits were baked and then pureed. I then put them into ice cube trays and froze them. Each day we will thaw a couple ice cubes of fruits or veggies and feed them to the babies.

Awesome! I quickly found that ice cube trays made portions that were too small. I now freeze in muffin tins. Works great!

You amaze me with all that you take on - great idea to freeze the trays!

Great job! I've found that homemade is so much yummier than canned :)

Though, some things are easier to buy pre-made!

Love the assembly line! I usually make one or two things at a time, but I love your way - get it all done in one day. I think I need to pick up a few more trays :)

What a good mama! My guy feeds himself finger foods now, so I bake/roast the fruits & veg, dice them & then lay it out in a single layer on a cookie sheet & freeze(it keeps it all from sticking together!) and it makes him very happy when he is teething to chomps on the partially thawed bits : )

PS> they are so big! I can't believe 7 months have passed : )

Well done!
