20 week belly pic & update

Things are going well. I am definitely feeling tired and need to rest a lot more in the last couple weeks. I have started to feel little flutters in my belly when they are moving around. It is mainly when I am laying down, laying on one side and change to the other side. It is crazy to think those are our babies! The flutters have gotten more and more frequent just in the last couple days so I'm sure in no time I will be getting kicked and punched from every direction. My next Dr. appointment is Monday but so far everything looks great and there are no signs of pre-term labor (knock on wood).

I will leave you with this week's pic, not as great as the last one in Mexico but the belly is definitely growing!

20 weeks!!

Your babies weigh about 10 1/2 ounces now. They're also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, they're measured from head to toe.)

They're swallowing more these days, which is good practice for their digestive system. They're also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in their bowels, and you'll see it in their first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).
